The best hardwood flooring materials are made from wood species that are easily available and obviously very hard.  Maple flooring, cherry flooring, and oak flooring are all excellent choices.  Other species like mahogany, walnut, ash, and bamboo (which is actually a grass) can also be used for hardwood flooring designs.  However, you’ll pay a higher price for more exotic species like mesquite, teak, and jarrah.

You can never go wrong by choosing wood floors.  They all have a distinct natural beauty and they blend well with any decor – be it country, traditional, or modern.  Hardwood floors can be installed in any space, although basements and kitchens require special considerations.
